    By using the irregular edges of this paving stone to finish the borders of the patio we were able to maintain a more natural feel to the project. A few seating boulders cut-in to the edges add the extra detail that make a patio go from generic to distinct. With every project we put in the ground our team is always considering ways to design better and create unique spaces. In this instance we are talking about water features! Don't put it off to the side, bring it right into the living spaces so you can create full sensory experiences that immerse you in the landscape. Although it may be easier and a bit more cost effective to move the feature away, the better play is to do it right and integrate the feature into your core areas!     Why are designs important....because they give a vision for how the entire yard comes together and flows from space to space. Without a design we often see yards with a bunch of standalone projects that feel disjointed with no overarching cohesion! As a design-to-build team we are always being mindful of how the yard should come together and also, how it can be built!     Brickus Perfectus...I mean it is a pretty crisp ...

    Brickus Perfectus...I mean it is a pretty crisp seating space right. There are a few subtle things that make it different: The laying direction of the circle was shifted a bit to make it stand out despite being the same paving stone. The dark border stone was added to highlight the transition between spaces. The pillars were added to bring substance to the wall and bookend it while also adding a textured cap to make them feel unique. And the small wall was made unique by flipping the stone vertical and angling it to give the wall a unique texture that stands out. It also provides interesting shadows with the landscape lighting. Who knew we could write a novel about brick...πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ #hardscape #landscaping #outdoorliving
